Baby #2 on the way
I'm excited to finally announce that we're expecting baby #2 in September. I'm a little over 15 weeks pregnant now, so hopefully we will know soon whether it's a boy or a girl. We took some baby announcement pictures when we were in Hawaii in February that I've posted below. It was so hard to get Ryder to cooperate, and not step on the letters right after I stepped away to take the picture. I wish I could get him to look up, but I've learned that its pretty much impossible these days. We're excited! Yay!

Freshly Picked Moccasins
Photo: Juls Megill Photography
I posted a review of Freshly Picked Moccasins last march, which was 9 months ago. Now Ryder is 2, and he is MUCH MORE ACTIVE! Every person that meets my son comments about how much energy he has, and how he "runs" and doesn't "walk" anywhere. So, I wanted to give you an update of our personal experience on how they have been holding up now that he is older.
In March we got the Prince George Freshly Picked Moccasins, and 9 months later they are still in great condition, no holes or rips, the leather looks great and they shockingly STILL FIT him! And, yes, he has grown a ton! If you look through my instagram feed you can see how much he has worn them for "proof". ;) He has gone through 3 sizes of TOMS during these past 9 months and his current size in TOMS is still difficult to shove his fat feet into. He hates when we try to put his feet in them, so I usually feel bad, give up, and put his moccs on. Ryder actually gets excited to put his moccs on, and gives them to me to put on his feet when we are hanging around the house. Our most recent moccs are Ebony, they are the most gorgeous black leather that can be dressed up or down and super durable leather for every day wear.
The colors that currently fit Ryder are Prince George (Royal blue), Weathered Brown (distressed brown) and Ebony (black). I think the tumbled/textured style leathers (ie: Prince George and Ebony) hold up best for the older kids because they are made out of a thicker leather. The weathered brown is a little thinner leather, but they are "oh so soft". They are still my personal favorite because they match practically everything!
I know, I know… where can you get them!? Freshly Picked Moccasins used to only be available directly from Freshlypicked.com, but now they are also available at select Nordstrom stores! I just went to Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza and it was so fun being able to see them all on display in person! I honestly was in Mocc Heaven! I wish I could own them all! There were such fun colors!!! I especially LOVED "Glacier" in person, its AMAZING. It would be perfect for a boy or a girl. Thinking about them now makes me want to take the plunge. The price may seem a little steep for most people, but believe me, they are they worth every penny! They fit my son for 9 months and he is still wearing them comfortably. But who doesn't like a deal? Make sure to follow Freshly Picked on Instagram and they will notify you of new products and tell you when they are discounting certain colors! I just got Merci and Stone Suede for $45 each! Yay!
Now…..who wants to win a pair!? I'll post the details here and on Instagram tomorrow! :)

Customized Silhouette
I love silhouette art and have wanted a piece for my nursery for quite a while. I was a little worried I couldn't get my son to sit still long enough to get a clear pic, but it was easier than I thought. It's amazing what a little "Mickey mouse clubhouse" can do! I got it done from a shop on instagram called @_mprints_ and she did such an amazing job! She gives you a digital file and then you can print it go were you would like. I got mine printed on a 12x16 canvas at costco.com, and it was ready to pick up in 2 days!

Minky Blankets
My sister Nancy got these blankets for my son when he was born. They are the SOFTEST blankets I have ever touched, and they actually stay that way if you care for them properly! They come in a variety of sizes and patterns, and you can even customize the style with the pattern you like. I have a bunch of the infant ones for my son in different colors and patterns. They are also great for a backdrop for photos. After I fell in love with Minky Couture, I bought an adult size for myself, which turned into also buying a Monster size once my husband started taking over my blanket. I decided to finally share my minky blanket obsession with you today because they are having a huge pre-black Friday sale today and tomorrow!
At Softminkyblankets.com You can get 45% off any blanket with the code: "Pre45" and $5 shipping
If you live in Utah and want to stop by one of their stores, you can also get a free infant minky with a $100+ order! (Stores in Layton, Orem, St George and Draper, UT)
If you have any other specific ordering questions, go to the website: softminkyblankets.com or call their store directly: (801) 682-8422
Make sure you sign up for their e-mail updates online, so you are up to date on all their deals!

Maxi Cosi Carseat Sale!
There's finally a sale on Maxi Cosi Carseats now through Dec 3, 2014.
A carseat is definitely a necessity and an investment, both financially and for the safety of your child. Maxi Cosi was a top 10 product in Pregnancy & Newborn magazine 2011. It has unique FlexTech technology and AirProtect side airbags for safety and comfort, 11 harness heights and 3 buckle locations for the perfect fit.
I personally own the Pria 70 in the black and grey. It's the most cozy carseat I could find. The cushion feels so squishy (like memory foam), and provides support in all the right places. It also has a cup holder attached. My son loves to put his drink in there, snacks and toys.
The weight range on the Pria 70 is 9-40 rear facing; 22-70 and 52" forward facing.
They also make a Maxi Cosi Pria 70 "TinyFit" to accomodate a baby 4-9 lbs (with the insert) with addition to the features listed in the Pria 70.
There are many models to choose from, but the Pria 70 is what I have used personally and recommend. I attached some images of their infant carseats below to show you. They come in such fun solid colors!
Click below the image you like, and it will send you straight to item on the Nordstrom website!

Zara Fall 2014
I was just looking through the Zara website for new Fall clothing.... even though its in the 90's here in Southern California. I'm sitting here dreaming of cooler weather so we can bring out the coats, boots and warm scarves. There is SO MUCH cute stuff for boys out there! If you don't believe me, just wait and see... I always thought it wouldn't be fun to dress a boy, but I was wrong. I love the cute little shoes, sweaters, cardigans and jeans you can accessorize boys with! I really had to limit my selection because there was so much. If you like what you see, make sure you visit Zara.com!
Check it out!!!!
